Coronavirus: UG student tests positive

A third year female student of the University of Ghana has tested positive for the Coronavirus after her samples was brought back from Noguchi Memorial Institute.

She visited her family in USA and returned on March 7th, 2020 and shown symptoms.

Her samples was taken and it has tested positive after almost a week after.

Due to the case, management of the university have suspended all lectures on campus for now after one of it student was reported to have contracted the disease.

As it stands now, 5,843 deaths have been confirmed after the COVID-19 took over the reigns of Ebola and the disease keeps on spreading like lightning.

The deadly disease is on the rise and due to how fast it is spreading it has become necessary for every country to take measures in order to minimize the spread of the virus from human to human.

Coronavirus as we all know is a deadly disease. The virus spread through human contact such as handshake, hug and kissing. The best way to avoid contracting the pandemic is by washing one’s hands under running water with soap when coming from public gathering, drinking a lot of water, using hand sanitizers.
