We all woke up to the sad news of an accident that has claimed the lives of many yesterday after Metro Mass bus collided with a mini sprinter bus. Both busses were believed to have caught fire immediately the accident occurred.
And it was an unpleasant sight for many who saw videos and pictures of passengers who could not escape the fire but were burnt beyond recognition.
It had really become a worry for many traveller’s plying the Kintampo Road because of the numerous accidents happening on the road. Last year in the same month an accident happened on the same Kintampo pad which claimed the lived of more than 60 people and it became a national disaster with people pouring out messages of hope to families of lost victims.
Some people have laid the blame on drivers who are always on top speed to drop off passengers and pick up the next badge of people to their destinations. It might be true that some drivers are careless about the welfare of their passengers because they want to make more monies before the day ends.
Some prophets in the country has also said some roads in the country are death traps because in the spiritual realm Witches and Wizards have made it their blood bank and so no matter how good the road is there will be an accident on the road every year but can that be the only problem causing numerous accidents on our roads?
It is in light of this that some are seriously calling on government to construct good roads for safe driving. President Akufo-Addo has said this year will be year of roads. We believe he will fulfill his promise so that the number of accidents in our roads will reduce. We also want prophets who God have given them the gift to see what a normal human being cannot see to intercede on our behalf so that the numerous accidents happening our roads will reduce. Also we ask our drivers who only concerned with their daily income to be mindful of the precious lives they carry on our roads and drive carefully taking into consideration all the road signs and education they are given before they get their driving license.
