Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior, popularly known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale, has lashed out at some musicians in the country who have turned their back on government in it fight against Coronavirus.
The Dancehall King in a live Facebook video said some musicians in Ghana are living fake lives hence their inability to support government in either kind or cash to fight the virus.
This is because they are given peanuts at shows they are billed to perform but they come on radio and TV stations to act as if they can build a mansion in a week.
He then called the bluff of these musicians who are on social media beefing each other to get attention instead of finding a better idea to support the Akufo-Addo government and for that he describe their act as foolish.
“In this crucial time, where the Akufo-Addo led administration is finding ways and means to fight coronavirus, you’re on social media beefing. You guys are very foolish.”
The Ayoo hitmaker lauded the president’s effort to fight and defeat the deadly disease calling on his fellow artists to support the fight so Ghanains will for once take people in the art industry serious.
“The Government is donating his salary to fight coronavirus but you sit somewhere and all you can say I’m bored. You’re very foolish.”
To this end he prayed the good lord see the country through this and soon this shall also pass.
